Great Lakes Warranty doesn't pay for repairs

Great Lakes Warranty Company complaint by Roseybell
When I purchased my 2000 VW Beetle a year and a half ago I also bought an extended warranty from Great Lakes Warranty Company. Recently my engine blew and I had my mechanic call Great Lakes to open a claim. They sent out an inspector and he/she said that a $20 radiator hose caused the engine to blow. This inexpensive part was not covered in my policy and therefore they wouldn't pay for a replacement engine. This is outrageous! What's the point in having the warranty. I should have just put the money I would have spent on the warranty in my savings account to pay for repairs when something came up. Their motto is "unmatched quality, integrity and value. That's laughable!
